About Me
I have recently graduated from Tarleton State University with my Bachelor's Degree in Communication Studies with a concentration in Public Relations and Event Management and a double minor in Business and Technical Writing. I have always had a passion for helping children learn and discover new things. When I became the Event Coordinator for Texoma Destinations, I quickly realized the best part of my day was instructing the children's events and teaching them new things. Reading and Writing has always been a large part of my daily routine. I have taken my passion for reading and brought that into my classroom with my fourth and fifth graders of this year. I have enjoyed the challenge of showing students that not everyone likes the same books, but everyone can be an avid reader. |
Who I
|
I read anything that I can get my hands on, loving the knowledge that a book can bring you is paramount. I read 120 words a minute and can type over 100 words per minute. Being creative in my job is important to me because I love being able to create something that no one has seen before and putting my own spin on it is gratifying. I am very involved in a social organization, the Gamma Sigma chapter of Delta Phi Epsilon. I have been an key part of planning recruitment every year and on the Standards Board during my tenure with Delta Phi Epsilon. I have written for the Odyssey Online for a year and have several guest articles in the Texan News Service.
